About the team:

We are looking for Senior Financial Controller with 5+ years of experience to be based at our Mangalore office in India.

In this role, you’ll work in close partnership with the finance and controlling team in Denmark, ensuring a seamless integration of processes and alignment with EG’s financial standards. This collaboration will involve gaining a deep understanding of existing controlling workflows, adapting them to the local context, and jointly identifying opportunities for process optimization and enhancement.

Your work will focus on building a robust, compliant financial control function in India, reflecting the high standards maintained by the Danish team. By regularly engaging with your Danish counterparts, you’ll exchange insights on regulatory compliance, best practices, and process improvements, ensuring a consistent, high-quality approach across both regions.

As you contribute to critical financial reporting and control activities, you’ll play an essential role in delivering accurate, insightful financial data that supports EG’s global finance structure. Additionally, with access to advanced ERP systems such as Oracle NetSuite, you’ll benefit from hands-on training and continuous knowledge-sharing with the Danish team, empowering you to overcome challenges and achieve a smooth operational transition.

Responsibilities:

• Optimize the controlling function, integrating processes with a holistic approach focused on interaction and inputs.

• Maintain compliance with internal standards and external regulations.

• Drive results through team efforts, highlighting collective achievements over individual accolades.

• Handle practical challenges with a balanced and hands-on approach, ensuring realistic management of tasks.

Must have Skills and Experience:

• Fluent in English, with strong communication skills both spoken and written

• Experienced in financial control and compliance, ideally within international standards such as IFRS

• Skilled in financial data analysis, with an aptitude for translating insights into actionable recommendations

• Knowledgeable in ERP systems, particularly in integrating finance processes and related tools

• Detail-oriented, adaptable, and ready to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• Experienced within shared service centers or similar environments, with a solid understanding of compliance standards and financial operation.

Your workday and tasks

In this position you will have an interface with your colleagues at EG both in India and in Denmark.

Your main tasks will consist of the following:

• Group Controlling Tasks: Support the Nordic Group Controlling team in key controlling processes, working in collaboration with IT, business operations, and other shared services.

• Process Optimization: Establish and refine controlling processes, integrating efficient practices with a holistic view of financial interactions and data flows.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate tasks with Nordic colleagues and engage in administrative controlling tasks related to the Record-to-Report (RtR) process.
